Families do not invest in private college advising because it is convenient. They invest because the stakes are high.
We are not a volume-based advising platform.
We are a private strategic consulting firm that works closely with a limited number of families each year. Our relationships are developmental, not transactional.
Students are not processed. They are positioned.
Premier College Guidance was founded in 2008 by Trevor Mizrahi with the vision of building a more strategic and transparent approach to college admissions and financial aid planning. He has spoken to tens of thousands of families as a keynote presenter at conferences, school district events, and educational workshops, guiding students toward admission at highly selective universities while helping families make thoughtful and financially sound decisions.
Our advisory team includes Rob Schwartz, a full time independent college counselor since 2010, a UCLA graduate, a graduate of the UCLA College Counseling Certification program, and a faculty member of that program from 2015 through 2022. Rob is also an active member of the Western Association for College Admission Counseling and remains deeply engaged in the professional admissions community.
Trevor’s proven system is now delivered by our growing team of UCLA certified counselors who follow the same personalized, results driven approach that has helped over 1,000 families navigate admissions, scholarship strategy, and long term academic planning. Together, our team brings nearly two decades of hands on admissions experience, ongoing professional engagement, and real world case insight to every family we serve. Families trust us not only for our systems, but for the expertise and integrity behind them.
Many families assume they will not qualify for assistance. In reality, financial aid optimization involves timing, documentation, positioning, and an understanding of how colleges allocate institutional resources. We guide families through FAFSA and CSS Profile strategy, merit scholarship positioning, award letter analysis, special circumstance appeals, institutional grant leverage, and structured comparisons across competing offers.
Some families reduce their cost significantly, avoid irreversible debt decisions, or uncover opportunities they did not realize were available. Because we believe intelligent planning should not be limited to one income bracket, we offer financial assistance for our services in select cases.

Most families choose a college on gut feel and a sticker price. We model every admitted school across 400+ variables — merit behavior, aid elasticity, projected debt, and long-term earnings — so the final decision is a financial strategy, not a guess.
Every school on the table, UC and private.
400+ variables, calibrated on 1,000+ family outcomes.
By true net cost and long-term ROI.
What the model weighs on every school
Where your student's profile creates real leverage for awards.
Which schools actually move on a financial appeal — and which never do.
Positioning the application to maximize the offers that follow.
Total debt measured against the expected first-year salary.
Outcome modeling by major and institution — not by prestige.
The actual price across UC and private, compared side by side.
Independent counselors compare offers by intuition, over email. We model them.

Clarity today. Confidence tomorrow. Optionality forever.
Explore the frameworkOver nearly two decades, we observed that families were often making emotional decisions in a system that rewards strategic ones. That insight led to the development of our proprietary planning structure.
The Future-Ready Student Blueprint™ integrates academic positioning, career alignment, application narrative development, institutional strategy, financial modeling, and long term return on investment evaluation. It extends beyond the question of getting in and focuses on getting in strategically, paying wisely, graduating with direction, and remaining adaptable in an economy shaped by artificial intelligence and rapid industry change.
Our systems continue evolving in real time because they are built from active advisory experience. While other firms replicate trends, Premier College Guidance builds and refines frameworks ahead of them.
Families frequently ask whether a school is worth the cost, whether to appeal an award, how merit aid works, and how much debt is reasonable.
The Power 400 College Decision Support System
We developed the Power 400 college decision support system and return on investment modeling tools to answer these questions with clarity. Families evaluate institutional merit patterns, financial aid elasticity, scholarship leverage, projected debt, and long term earning implications before committing to a final decision.

A common frustration families share is that their student feels like a number in the process. At Premier College Guidance, individual attention is foundational. We work closely enough to identify authentic intellectual themes, shape essays with depth rather than templates, align extracurricular development strategically, and reduce anxiety by replacing fear with structure. Students frequently describe feeling understood rather than evaluated.
Because we cannot work one on one with every family, we have developed structured educational systems for broader access.

Every family begins with the same step. A complimentary consultation. During that conversation we evaluate your student’s current positioning, identify overlooked opportunities, demonstrate how our systems apply to your situation, and clarify whether private advising is appropriate. We do not accept every family. We accept families where we believe we can create meaningful and measurable impact.

Premier College Guidance is the BEST College Counseling Service EVER! We definitely recommend PCG for all your College Counseling Service needs! We have three daughters and we gladly invest in PCG for all three of our daughters. This Fall our eldest daughter will be in her third year at USC, our second daughter will be a freshman at UCLA, and our youngest daughter will be a Senior at Kennedy High School and applying to colleges. – Chris Connie B. My daughter saw Rob when one of her high school teachers had him come in and speak to her class. She had been really struggling on what she wanted to study and where she wanted to apply for college. He helped her compile a list with some of his suggestions as well as hers after listening to what she was looking for and wanted to study in college. He was honest about where she could get in and let her know what she needed to do to get in to her top choices. She actually ended up at one of Rob’s choices on the other side of the country but is loving it!
Rob was a perfect fit for our daughter and navigating the whole college application process. Tanya M. – Valencia, CA
I just love Trevor and Lindsey. In a world where affluent families feel they can “buy” their way into colleges – in spite of what would be best for their students’ authentic abilities – PCG is child-focused. They transformed what could have been an incredibly stressful process into a rewarding and collaborative effort. My husband was clear about how much we could spend and that we wanted our kids to graduate debt-free. Trevor handled all the financial and scholarship information and didn’t sugarcoat the true costs of each school’s tuition and padded costs. Meanwhile, Lindsey kept close contact with my daughters, and allowing me to stop nagging (as much as I could ;-). They had a fantastic resource for tutoring and reached out regularly via email and conference calls. It seemed like a long and winding road, but PCG guided our daughters and family toward a college choice that is sustainable, affordable and meaningful based on their temperament and academic goals versus what was “more prestigious.” I highly recommend PCG. Best of luck!!! Erin S. Agoura Hills, CA
